Why I Started Rooted in TN Grace
Rooted in TN Grace began as a small, stubborn seed of a dream that grew through seasons of change, joy, and lots of learning. I learned to look closely at life and find beauty in the ordinary. Photography became my way to honor those small, meaningful moments and the people who live them. My goal is to create images that feel timeless, tender, and true.
I realized I wanted to create more than beautiful images. I wanted to create an experience that feels safe, joyful, and authentically you. Rooted in TN Grace was born from that desire to build a photographic space where warmth, honesty, and intention guide every session.
What Rooted in Grace means to me Rooted speaks to foundation, family, place, and the little traditions that shape who we are. Grace reflects gentleness, acceptance, and the belief that every person and story matters. Together the name is a promise: I will show up grounded, respectful, and ready to capture your story with care.
How I approach sessions
Connection first. I love getting to know you so sessions feel relaxed and true to who you are.
Gentle guidance. I offer simple direction so you can be yourselves and have fun.
Joy in the details. I look for the little moments that make your story unique.
Faith friendly. Your traditions and beliefs are welcome and honored.
Why this work matters Photos are an investment in memory. They are the images future generations will study to learn what life looked and felt like. I feel honored to create those heirlooms and to capture the imperfect, honest, beautiful moments that might otherwise fade.
A note of thanks Starting Rooted in TN Grace has been a joyful, humbling adventure. I am so grateful for every family, couple, and person who has welcomed me into their lives. Your stories keep me inspired and grounded.
If you are ready to make memories, whether a quick mini session, a newborn welcome, or a family gathering, I would be honored to work with you. Let’s create images you will return to again and again.
With warmth,
Samantha Hollis
